About the Nationale Ongediertebestrijding Awards
The Nationale Ongediertebestrijding Awards (National Pest Control Awards) are an independent initiative that highlights the best pest control companies in the Netherlands. On this page you can read why the foundation exists, how the awards work and what they offer you as a consumer or business.
Our mission
Anyone with pests in their home wants to find a good pest controller quickly, without spending hours trawling through reviews. At the same time, many pest control companies do excellent work but are barely visible online. The Nationale Ongediertebestrijding Awards Stichting (foundation) wants to solve both problems. We highlight the three best pest controllers in each city based on clear, verifiable criteria, and we give skilled professionals the recognition they deserve. The foundation is non-profit and has no commercial interest in the outcome. Our only aim is a fair, useful ranking for everyone looking for a reliable pest controller.
How the awards work
The awards are presented every year. In the months before the announcement, we collect publicly available data on pest controllers in 40 Dutch cities: Google reviews, certificates and quality marks, and the number of years a company has been active. This produces a preliminary ranking, which you can already see on the city pages. The independent jury then checks the data, weighs the criteria and sets the final top 3 for each city and the national top 5. The 2026 results will be announced on 7 November 2026. The ranking then stands for a year, until the next edition.
Independent and not for sale
An award is only worth something if it cannot be bought. That is why the Nationale Ongediertebestrijding Awards follow a few strict rules. Companies pay nothing for a listing, an assessment or a place in the top 3. Sponsorship and advertising have no influence whatsoever on the ranking. Every link to a company website is nofollow, so nobody can use a listing to improve their own search rankings. Who are the awards for?
First and foremost, for consumers and businesses looking for a reliable pest controller. Whether you have mice in the kitchen, a wasp nest under the eaves or bed bugs in a hotel room, your city page shows you straight away which three pest controllers score best and why. The awards are also there for the pest controllers themselves. Gold, Silver or Bronze shows that a company does good work, holds the right certifications and has satisfied customers. It is a fair way to stand out in a market where quality is not always visible.
